The Japan Foundation carries out arts and cultural exchange programs to enhance mutual understanding among countries throughout the world.

Human Exchange and Cultural Cooperation

 

The Japan Foundation has been carrying out a broad range of activities to introduce aspects of Japanese culture to people abroad for the purpose of promoting their familiarity with Japan and enhancing their understanding of Japan.

Community Leaders and Youth Exchange

 

This program promotes international mutual understanhding and exchange at the grassroots level in cultural fields.

 

 

 

 

Visual Arts

 

Emphasis is placed on the introduction of the traditional and contemporary arts of Japan overseas and overseas arts in Japan.

 

 

Performing Arts

 

The performing arts exchange programs of the Japan Foundation respond to the interests of various overseas countries in Japan's arts and culture by introducing them in a variety of ways in those countries.

Audiovisual and Publication Exchange

 

The Japan Foundation carries out types of visual and publication exchange programs in its endeavors to deepen mutual understanding between Japan and other countries of the world.

JFNY Grant for Arts & Culture

 

This grant aims to support projects that will further understanding of Japanese arts and culture.
